Meet Maria.
DigiMaster Director.
LEGAL is my passion. I also love working with people. By offering our expert skills in legal assistant services we’re able to contribute to healthy and profitable businesses while building longstanding, trusted relationships with our clients.
Growing up the eldest of 4 diverse, creative and strong willed kids, my key skills of negotiating, diplomacy, problem-solving and “someone’s got to take control of this” attitude were developed from an early age.
Fast forward 35 years and I am proud to have grown a business with a diverse base of clients and requirements, having successfully negotiated the changing landscape of business and technology over that time. We’re experienced and well equipped to help any firm meet both their and their clients’ needs at any time.
I started my career working in the legal industry as an office junior, straight from school. I lucked out in one of the Big 6 in Auckland, working my way through each department over the next 7 years soaking up everything I could in the world of legal before venturing overseas to London. There, I found work in the CBD for one of the 3rd largest law firms in the world at the time. The opportunity to work alongside learned colleagues with clients on a global scale was an invaluable experience and massive insight into processes and general running of a large scale corporate office. One of my favourite clients and experiences from that time was Virgin Group of Companies – super inspiring!
I returned to New Zealand temping in medium and large sized law firms as a PA/Paralegal, in various departments, until I was headhunted for a recruitment opportunity. This turned out to be a very natural change for me and something I really loved. Building ace teams and talking all day – definitely my happy place.
I soon realised I could merge the two worlds to offer top temp solutions to my law firm clients and contacts. Knowing first-hand what it was like to work as a temp meant I could successfully navigate the needs of both Temps and Firms to orchestrate efficient and satisfying results all round.
A natural change occurred when I started a family in the early 2000s and I shifted my focus, once again, to PA services for the legal industry, but “virtually” so I could have the flexibility of a remote working set up. This efficient and flexible model would become the core driver that’s shaped the “online” business I run today.
